What is the best method you have found to store a large quantity of cents? Cloth sacks? 5 gallon buckets? jars, piggy banks, flat rate post office boxes, brinks bags, ziploc, rubbermaid storage totes I was just curious as my save pile from the first batch was bigger than I was expecting. eaglefoot Pillar of the Community United States 6326 Posts	Posted 10/27/2010 3:17 pm I have four or five thousand Wheats stored in ziplock bags (segregated by decade/mintmarks).....all of which are then put into a very large airtite hard plastic flip-lock container. I no longer save "post-Wheat" Cents, unless they're in a high MS grade. And in these cases, I store them in "coin tubes". Yes I have a GAZILLION coin tubes, but they "store" rather nicely this way, and take up little room when put into old Cent bank boxes. Mass/bulk storage does depend on what exactly you have, IMO, too. Meaning, I wouldn't want my Wheats exposed to humidity/environmental dangers. But, if you're just storing for "Pre-'82" Coppers sake.......any "jar" or "bucket" should do quite nicely. Report this Post to the Staff
ibab Valued Member United States 167 Posts	Posted 10/27/2010 4:25 pm the wheats and BU (or looking like it) have been plucked, so its just the copper ones. I filled more than a jar with the coppers so I was realizing that I would have more cents than jars... Report this Post to the Staff
