Despite the photo, the color of this one is normal for this period.
Doesn't the obverse look a few grades better?

I would say VG-8, localized corrosion.
Did you find this in circulation? I remember a forum post recently from somebody who found a low grade 1926-S in change.

Thanks for the grade! I found this in a bunch of wheats I had saved--too bad about the condition of the reverse.

It is still, even as a net AG-3, about a $3 coin. Strong, sharp date and mint mark.

The reverse looks weakly struck as in a late die state. It could use some of BadThad's magic potion. I'd grade it a net VG.

Vg 8 overall. the coin would go higher if the obverse matched the reverse.
The jaw separation says f12 but the weak reverse brings her down

If I were to buy this coin I would not be paying at a VG-8 grade... the corrosion nets it down to a G-4 if lucky.

I wish I could grade Lincolns. I wouldn't even venture a guess, thats how bad my grading of Lincolns is.

VG-8. Needs conservation in my opinion. Get some of Thad's elixir.

I would grade it F-12 details. I think the reverse has more to do with a weak strike than wear.

Thanks for the grades!
I suspect the rev was more a die wear issue.

Technical VF, separated cheek and jaw. Extremely worn reverse die, note how E.PUB is merging with the rim on the reverse, it's worse than most 1922-D's! LOL Nonetheless, I'd be conservative at F12 corroded. You need to address that corrosion so it stays in check. I agree with the $10 retail coin value.
