Hi. I have a few of these 1993 D's that may have similar doubled looking MM etc but have to scan them yet. For now I want to post this one.

Looks like at least a couple of MM and FG's. Looks like one or twop more FG's above the main one, and the MM is obviously more than should be there. I inverted the colors on the FG closer up and can do the same with the MM. Inverting the colors shows more clearly any raised edges etc.

So, what do you all think about this cent? Thanks :)

It's a plating issue. If it was a doubled die the MM and date would be doubled because they stopped hand punching the MM in 1989.

Thanks and too bad then. Was hoping I would have maybe found my first doubled something, not Machine Doubling though Oh well, I'll find one yet.

The D sure looks like a couple of MM's. I guess so many things can "appear" like DD's but aren't.

I'm learning :)

I tried to get in a little closer with the scanner,
plus I inverted the color. A bit of a closer look.

Sorry, I uploaded the wrong closeup to go with the last inverted one so you have two views of same image ;)
