Did 2 boxes, only found a Michigan State Quarter Silver Proof. I imagine it won't be super uncommon to cull these as people have no idea what they are, and just assume it's a shiny quarter.

I run a local ice arena, found a 1962d in the snack bar drawer today. Very rare to find anything but I was exited, one of my girls actually called me and showed me the quarter.

Going through some rolls I found a 2003 S Illinois quarter, any extra value to it?
A rescued proof!

It is a proof, so it has some extra value above face. If it is a silver proof, it will be worth at least melt.

I've been through $1000 over the last 3 days. No Silver. Found a bunch of ATB's, but I always find just about every ATB available with Denver mint.

Yeah I figured I will hold on to the S mint coins for now since they don't show up that often. Maybe in 20 years I'll receive 2x face lol

@ ninetwosix: Do you know if that's a silver or clad proof? Because if it's a silver proof it can be worth quite a bit.

I agree. Regardless of condition, a silver proof will always have its bullion value.

@CrazyCat - neither of the coins are silver as the rim appears to be copper.

I was dumping some halves at a supermarket bank branch today. There's a Coinstar there, and I saw a guy pouring over $100 of coins in it. One kept getting rejected, a '64P quarter. Obviously, I bought it from him.

Did a box today and found a beat up canadian, king george V is on it so it must be from 1911-1936. I'll take it...it also ends my silver skunk streak of 0 for 2.
