New CCF member here. I've been searching Quarter rolls on a daily basis for 3+ years. Recently, I've noticed that things have more or less dried up in my area. Last year I was pulling 2 to 3 silver quarters a month. Since then....not so much. I haven't found a silver quarter in 2 months or so, which is unusual. Silver dimes are still coming through, but the quarters have dried up.
I suppose the banks have been pulling quarters in my area before sending them out into circulation. Dunno.....

Several months ago I was at a takeout restaurant and the girl behind the counter opened a roll of quarters. It was all 1967 Canadian cougars. I let her know what she had, gave her 3 bucks for one and told her where she could sell the rest. I only wish I had thought to ask at what bank does the restaurant do business.

Well, after last night's post bemoaning the fact that I haven't found any silver quarters lately, I feel like I hit the mother lode today! I went through a $500 box of quarters at work and found these: 4 Silver quarters! 3 American and 1 Canadian! 1944P and a 1955 Canadian quarter. 1959P and 1964S I also found 3 silver FDR dimes (which I'll post in the dime thread) and a beat up Centennial Canadian penny. Back in the saddle!

Another good day at work for me today. I'm on a roll I tells ya! Not sure if this coin contains any silver, but it is a proof coin. 1989S Quarter. Sorry for the fuzzy focus. I'm taking my pictures with a smart phone. Edit: grammar

I like the proof finds as much as silver. The proofs need rescuing!

Very nice Afterimage! I found this in a collection basket at church. The first guy to throw anything in threw 4 quarters and 1 was silver I noticed right away. I took the 4 q's and put in a dollar bill for it. (Yes, I did put my own dollar in too) It's a hole filler for me

Very nice 1935 you found there! The oldest quarter I've found is a 1940. Still waiting for something in the '30s to show up!

No luck for me today at work as far as quarters are concerned. I did find a couple of dimes, though. On my way to post 'em up in the dime thread.
