My father has boxes and boxes of beer cans. A lot of them are in beautiful shape. I keep telling him do a little research in his free time, but he doesn't. I think he's waiting for me to do the footwork, lol.

I'd say go ahead and research...you might as well. If you find out they're worth any money above the 5 cent deposit, charge him a finder's fee

At $26.26 I am starting to think those that sold early may have been crazy.

um...what footwork is there here?
step 1) imbibe all unopened contents contained within boxes in question step 2) crush useless remains and throw into a scrap saving bin

If I knew that I would have said they were the smartest people in the world. :)
No but I think it will hit at least $28 in the current wild flow. But I could be wrong and it could drop like a rock. I know I'm not selling and I am still buying, the problem is figuring out my tolerance price for buying. However the past two days have been profitable on paper at least. :) :) :)

One thing I won't do is call somebody stupid or smart in this game....as soon as I do, it will come back to haunt me...one thing about it though...I bought a lot of silver collections for bullion prices, so I'll always have something to look at if the price drops...that may be the reason I'm not anxious to sell right now

You really need to take the profit and not look back. Now if you took a loss?! Then it might be time for some soul searching.

I am thinking of dumping all my 40% silver soon, once I feel the time is right. Then I'll invest that money in 90% and .999 later when the price crashes.

I know what you mean but that can be HARD! I was buying Gold when it was $300! I stopped when it hit $350 thinking "No way I'm I gonna pay that much!".......... I sold when it hit $750 thinking, "NO WAY CAN IT GO ANY HIGHER!" Sure kicking myself now!

Stop beating yourself up odentheviking. I sold about 10ozs of gold last spring at $1160. I "only" had about $860/oz in it, so it was a nice profit. It allowed me to buy more "numismatic" coins and have the peace of mind of cash in the bank. Gold could go to $2,000/oz next year but you never know. Nobody does. (I do have another 10ozs stashed away though )

a good rule though is if you're making 100 percent profit already, cut your losses...you just got a guaranteed profit and one in hand is worth two on the bush
i agree with ^^

My rule for getting top dollar is to only keep what I can afford to lose and sell when it drops 10%.My initial investment is all I think about to avoid the temptation.
