This is not a canadian coin, but as promised, here is the 1909 American Gold coin found in a roll of pennies. She sure was lucky. Still having a problem with getting a good close up.

In my home town pennies were great for a bit then they started getting full boxes from a company called LPS which copper sorts them so that was the end of those ( found about 10 copper cents a box) funny enough my oldest find a 1934 I think it was came from one of those boxes.. I've had a few tellers on a Saturday tell me they do not have the key to the coin vault as well which is understandable...

I've alto started going between pennies & nickels which makes it a bit easier. My luck with bigger city banks has not been so good, 1 box at BMO in London, sealed 2008 pennies & 1 in Kitchener sealed 2010 pennies.

WOW what a find uncle al

Uncle Al, what an AWESOME!! find in that gold coin. Incredible. Makes me want to run to the bank and buy some more rolls of pennies ... but have to wait until Wed! Meanwhile, I've made lots of headway with re-logging coins I already have on hand before I start scanning in earnest. Maybe I'll find a super cent in my next batch of rolls. Don't think I can spring for a whole box this time though.
