Canadian 1965 "pointed' 5 Variety

Wild Bill Pillar of the Community United States 744 Posts	Posted 01/18/2011 12:34 am I found 2 1965 "pointed" 5 varieties in the same 12 boxes of pennies I found 2 1985 pointed 5 varieties.... how scarce are the 1965 varieties also.....? Report this Post to the Staff

cladhunter13 Pillar of the Community Canada 1161 Posts	Posted 01/18/2011 01:18 am Not sure on the mintage for the 65 pointed varieties. Now that you have the 1965 pointed variety...you need to see if it is a LB (large bead) or SB (small bead) variety. For the small bead variety...the last A in REGINA points between the denticles and the Large bead has the last A points to denticle. Rarity for the varieties is as follows: 1.1965 Variety 4 - (LB P5) 2.1965 Variety 1 (SB P5) 3.1965 Variety 2 - (SB B5) 4.1965 Variety 3 - (LB B5). The 1985 Pointed is also a cool find.
