I've been searching US cents for almost a year now and have always held on to the Cents from the North. Well, I've finally gone and done it, I started a Canadian collection. I've always liked the halves and dollars so here is the first coin of my collection.

HA!

Once you're bitten, you're hooked. I enjoy my Canadian collection just as much as I enjoy my American collection. Wait until you get into the Voyageur dollars, the Loonies and commemoratives, and the never ending sea of quarter varieties. Those are especially fun.

It took me about a year and a half to get my Canadian collection to this point. My collection consists of:

large and small cents 1915-current
nickels: 1920-current
dimes: 1937-current
quarters 1937-current
half dollars 1968-current
Voyageur dollars - 1967-1987
Loonies: 1987-current with all commemoratives
Toonies: 1996-current with all varieties

Now I'm working my way back with the silver 50ยข, Voyageurs and large cents.

If you need help gathering let me know. If I have extras I'll be more than happy to send them your way to get you in deeper and deeper!

Ken

I was just thinking of how much more challenging it must be for someone from the US to build a Canadian set... and how much more rewarding it would be to complete a set.
good luck BadKarma

Thanks everyone. And thanks Ken for the offer, I will keep that in mind when I hit a hard one to find.

For the time being I'm keeping it to halves and dollars, that should be complicated enough for awhile.
