Nice coin, nothing rare or valuable, but a good coin. If it had a "S" or "D" mint mark, then we'd be talking; they can reach anywhere from $2-$1000. It really just depends on the condition.

Gothic Florin is right you know. Your hooked and hooked good. Mine first coin buy was a 1921 Morgan dollar. Still got it too. Wish I had bought all the guy had now that I think about it, He had them at an auction years ago and couldn't even get $5 a piece for them. I bought one of them for $3.

I have to say your first purchase was allot better than mine was. Just be careful because now that you have the bug you may find everything else you used to purchase like food and gas for the car isn't as important anymore because you can use that money for another coin

Yeah, I would say you payed a fair price, it's really a nice coin. I only have 2 V nickels and I can't see "Liberty" across the headress, like yours, and I only payed a little less than that.

I only have one V and you'd never get it for that price! :) Good Job! Welcome to the Addiction! There isn't a CCAA so you're on your own.
I'm too old to remember my first purchased coin. My dad bought me 2 Proof 1967 Mardi Gras Tokens that I still have.

Nice coin and a very good deal.Worn Liberty nickels are easy to come by and cheap, but Higher grade coins like yours are harder to obtain.

I have found 6 of them roll searching this year but none in that good shape. Nice coin and I would say good price.

Congrats on a great first coin!
Here's a mindbender...your coin, or one like it, could have been:
1) In the pocket of a soldier on the western front. 2) Given to a child during the Great Depression. 3) In someone's jacket as they sat in one of the Titanic's lifeboats. 4) Spent by a soldier looking for the last Apache holdouts.

I bought my V nickel collection off of ebay. I think I payed $45 dollars for about half finished set and it included all nickels that you can see liberty. I think from 1892 to 1912. (minus 1896 and 1894 and 1912-d. I added 1896 and 1912-d to it which are graded fine. All the others are fine to vf.
