ChefPisano New Member Canada 9 Posts	Posted 11/04/2010 6:44 pm Hey Everyone, This is my first post here, I was directed here to ask my question from the "Welcome" sub-forum... I have 4 (1941) 25 cent pieces from the Netherlands. I am positive there is some silver in them but I cannot, for the life of me, find any resources at the library or on the interwebs. I will post some crude pictures. If anyone knows, or can dig around, and let me know what the silver composition by weight or even % is I would be very grateful. Thanks guys! svslav Pillar of the Community United States 2605 Posts	Posted 11/04/2010 6:53 pm Hello again! 1941 Dutch quarters weigh 3.575 grams. They consist of 64% silver, which translates to .0736 oz. ASW (stands for actual silver content). Hope it helps. Oh, and nice hat! Report this Post to the Staff

svslav Pillar of the Community United States 2605 Posts	Posted 11/04/2010 7:13 pm There are Krause catalogs of world coins that have this kind of info. They are broken up by centuries. So, for example, if you have a bunch of 1900', coins you get the "1901 - 2000" issue. They come out every year, and you could pick up a few year old edition reasonably cheap. The quoted prices will be outdated but the composition and mintage figures don't change. Report this Post to the Staff
