I have ran a few auctions so far and like the new system.

But there's a minor confusion... I've looked rather carefully for some way to set the price jump.

It seems the default way it works is this: to bid, you must bid at least 1 cent more than the starting bid, and THEN at least 1 dollar more than the previous bid.

Isn't this a little odd?

Have I missed a setting where I can change this?

Thanks in advance for any experts out there who can help.

I'm currently running (my first ever) auctions. When I had bid on other auctions earlier I noticed that 1 cent thing, so I put the starting price at 1 cent short of "The 1st bid", say $4.99 if I wanted to start with $5.

About $1 default increment, when I post next auctions I'm going to say that bidders could enter a different increment by hand (it allows one to do it).

Thanks, svslav. This clarifies things, as I didn't know the bidder can enter less than $1 extra.
