Has anyone seen the shooting star? I have an 1981s proof SBA dollar with the third star up on the left side having one long point, two shorter points, and two nubs. To me it appears like a shooting star. Is this a commom error on this coin?

Welcome to our CC family!

I am not familiar with this, but I'm going to move this topic to the varieties/errors section. You will probably get a better response there.

I believe it is listed as Breen # 5846 not listed as rare but a die polishing error I believe. and it states that it is the 3rd star but, does not say what side . I do believe its on the left though..

Thanks scoutjim, have many more coin questions, but first I have to learn how to get pictures along with them. Don't know much about coins but even less about this PC.
