Cleaned or not, that is an excellent picture of an excellent coin.

It looks au naturel to me!

From these pictures, it'd be pretty difficult to be certain one way or another. Anyway to get a close-up of your coin?

Hard to say for sure from pictures, but does look like there are some hairline scratches on both sides, esp. the Obverse, which could indicate cleaning. Still a nice piece though - quite a lot of DOA coins I have handled, which is several hundred this year, turn up with cleaning or more major damage. Yours looks like a decent one.

Sel_691: Yes! Very beautiful indeed!

Jeff : What is a DOA coin? Deutsch Ostafrika?

Here's the actual coin.

It is much larger on ebay, not able to upload bigger pictures on CCF.

My opinion, hard to say if it has been cleaned, but its also hard to call it 'About UNC'... More like 'About EF'...

If there's nice luster in hand it would most likely be AU and original, although that's hard to tell from the pics.

When buying on ebay I always assume the worst. To me the hairlines on the obverse look like cleaning. I also feel that the starting bid is above retail for that coin.
