Hi everyone, I was curious if anyone can tell me an approximate value for the 2006 D* & the new 2009 B* notes? I have tried doing an e-Bay search, but right now nothing is coming up for sale. I know the 2006 D* is the series key with 640K printed, but I don't know much about the 2009 B* other than 1.28 million of them were printed. Any thoughts greatly welcomed. Thanks.

B-* were selling $100+ when they first hit circulation, know that we know how many were printed the price has leveled out. Feel bad for the folks who got caught up in the hype and paid $100+ per note.

Where are you getting them at $3 as I would like to pick some up? Thanks

Agreed on the 2009 as that was a disaster waiting to happen. When I found mine they were selling for around $60.

Thanks bvalania, your help is appreciated. Any thoughts about the 2004A $10 L Star? I know there were multiple print runs, is any one worth more than the others?

I really do not the consider the low prices on ebay as a fair prices on certain currency items. I have won some and it's mainly because of incorrect description, poor pictures, seller not knowing what the heck they are selling etc.

Some timeback I won a CHCU note which retails for around $70 to 100 for less than $10. The way I looked at it is that NO ONE else saw it and dumb luck on my part.

IF there was someone selling the 2006D* at $3 a piece (gem / chcu) I would sit there and buy it all day long. lol

Theres been more then one that sold for $3. It's not always about luck, alot has to do with patience, and paying what YOU want to pay not what a SELLER is asking. I've bought a great deal of silver coins these past few months, most of it for $15-$18 an ounce, b.c I'll be patient and pay what I'm willing to as opposed to what a seller is asking.

Below are 2 auctions where it sold for $3 and $4 (quick search of ended listings) and appear to have bends (wavy)
350411662579
350409342245

"Majority" of the auctions are consistently selling for more ($7 to $12 per note in lots of 2 or more). I have seen them go higher in the $20's as well.

I am not trying to be difficult or anything just being realistic and the $3 notes IF one can find a CHCU note is a "random" event and NOT the norm. This is where ebay is a hit or miss game and is not a proper pricing mechanism.

FWIW, the note I won for $10 -- My high bid was $75 in case someone else saw it or was going to snipe it at the last few seconds. I consider this as being "lucky".

As per the silver thingy -- As far I know silver was trading in the $15 to $18 a few months back.
