Hey all,
So I sent an e-mail to the BEP asking about the production of 2009 series $10's. More specifically, are any $10's being produced for series 2009. Has anybody ever written them via e-mail, and if so, how long has it taken for them to get back to you?
I'm curious about this, because over at uspapermoney.info, it is mentioned that some series 2009 $10's are showing up in circulation. Has anybody here encountered a 2009 $10, yet?
Apparently the BEP production reports are months behind schedule, so they aren't listed in the serial number tables, yet.
I guess I'll keep my eyes peeled for these. I've come across several 2009 1 and 20 dollar notes, but no 10's yet. If anybody has one, could they post a picture? I'd like to see one with the new signature combo.
Thanks!

I asked them a question on 8/15/2010 and received a response on 9/10/2010, so about a month.
But then again sometimes they never answer.

I've asked them a few questions and they usually get back to me the next business day.

Thanks for the responses. I awoke this morning, to find the BEP's response waiting for me. It reads as follows: -------------------------- "Mr. G: There are no Rios-Geithner $10 notes being printed. Please see our Series listing at http://www.moneyfactory.gov/image/S..._Table_1.pdf. Thank you, BEP Moneyfactory.gov" ------------------------ Interesting. Ok, well nevermind about the series '09 $10's, then.

Hmmm let me see.... I asked them if they were going to have any special offers for the new $100 when it comes out, they said yes.
I asked a question about a one of their acrylic frames for sheets of money.
I asked if they had any figures for how many sheets they sell out to collectors.
The only time they didn't get back to me the next day was on one of the questions I asked, I asked them late on a friday night (or something like that) and they didn't get back to me till the following monday or tuesday

Actually, series 2009 ten dollar bills have been printed... Wheresgeorge.com has about 150 of them entered...

But then again, it could be in error, as they also have a series 1981 two dollar bill entered...

Thanks Money. IF there is an embarrassing / "human" error situation they are NOT going to reply and I will leave it at that for the time being. Fwiw, BEP is backed up with their monthly reporting as it is their fiscal year end as of Sept. I have come across series 2009 $1 blocks that are not on their reports as of Aug 2010. Quote: Hmmm let me see.... I asked them if they were going to have any special offers for the new $100 when it comes out, they said yes. I hope it's buy $200 in face value for $100 ( 2 for 1 sale).

Interesting.
Well, no big deal either way. I was just curious, as, as far as I knew, only $1's, $20's, and $100's were being printed for series 2009. If I find an '09 $10 in my travels, I guess that will answer my question.
The entries at wheresgeorge could be an error, I suppose, but 150 notes being entered leads me to believe otherwise. If it were only 1 or 2, that would be one thing, but 150.....that's a lot of people mistaking '04A's and '06's, for the newer series.

The only 2009 notes I've found so far in eastern PA was the $ 1.00 from FW and a $ 20.00 from DC. The Bill Collector

Wow, some already made it overseas.
I guess I'll keep my eyes peeled for these.
I am a little annoyed that when the BEP got back to me, they said that no series '09 $10's were being produced. Um, yeah, actually, they are, apparently.
