I never have found one, but are silver certificates hard 2 find?

not really, you can find a nice one for about $5

If you mean in circulation then I would say yes they are hard to find. You can buy them at most any coin shop and a lot of pawn shops have them also.

I find one or two every year in my soda machine...I'm guessing that I take in about two thousand ones from that machine in a year.

I've received two lower-grade 1957 $1 Certificates in change this year.

Every coin shop I've ever been in has CU 1950's Silver Certificates.

Likely won't find one in circulation but are cheap in lower grades. Remember that condition is everything

i have a bunch of really worn silver and a few funnybacks. I will spend 1 every now again just for the laugh factor. Most people think there fake. lol

Yeah it's pretty rare to find them in circulation in my opinion. The only time I ever got one was last month when my bank teller got some in and held them for me, so that really doesn't even count. The others I inherited or bought. To increase your chances you could befriend a bank teller and ask them to look out for them for you.
