Ok I purchased a box yesterday and did not have time to look at the box. I looked through the holes in the perferated box and noticed they are all 2010 not sure what the mint mark is. I had to leave for work so what do I do with 100$ worth of 2010 nickels that are bank rolled ? I am willing to sell them. I have not opened the box yet either.

You can try and sell them on ebay - otherwise save a couple of rolls that have heads on one end, and tails on the other, then dump the rest.

Well ..... some suggestions to consider ......

1. You could simply take them back and exchange for another box ...... not much effort involved to do this.

2. You could try to sell individual rolls ...... but I suspect most of your target customers already have a belly full of 2010 Jefferson.

3. You could carefully search each roll in pursuit of the elusive MS66FS or perhaps even MS67FS ....... or heavens dream ...... even an MS68FS coin that might be in there. Then dump the rejects for more nickels. The 2010 might be common today ....... but they will never make any more truly gem examples ...... and someday these will bring a significant premium.

Your call ..... I vote for having some potential treasure hunting fun with Option #3.

Nothing to lose but a little time ...... and a potential great pay-off.

I sold a few on the bay for around 150-200, take advantage of free listing fee promotion. I havnt been able to find any solid boxes anymore so I would keep it possibly as you never know how the original bank roll might due one day

I sold my first few boxes for a pretty good premium on ebay, but that was in July and the prices are quite a bit lower now. I saved my last box for a rainy day like slash112 suggests and found one blank planchet so it was kinda fun.

If you just want to break even, take them to a coin machine which exchanges coins for dollars. We have one in one of our local supermarkets. Feed in the coins and it spits out the total in dollar bill to the nearest dollar.
