Ok, here we go again. I have been so busy lately and putting this off for so long. I hope you like the format, I am trying to make it go a bit faster but not too fast.
Same basic rules as we normally use. Now for the fun part.
1) There will be 122 currency symbols listed. Some will be real, and I will have to make some up. The answer will use ALL REAL CURRENCIES so if you know the different world currencies you can already eliminate part of the list. You may use real or fictional currencies in your guesses however you wish and I will respond the same way all of the time, not acknowledging which is which.
2) There will be 8 REAL CURRENCIES selected at random Friday morning. The list of currencies will be posted Friday before 11:45am. Game will begin Friday noon EST by the forum clock.
3) Any CCF member with 50 or more posts may join. No new players will be allowed to enter the game after 6 correct currencies are used in one single guess. They do not need to be in the correct position for this rule to come into effect.
4) The timing will be based on the number of correct currencies guesses and the people playing. All of the below refer to correct currencies which may or may not be in the correct position.
To start you get one guess and have to wait until 5 more guesses are made by other players before you can guess again. Once 2 correct have been guessed in the same guess(6 remaining) then you have to wait 4 guesses in between your guesses. If 4 correct has been guessed (4 remaining) then you have to wait 3 guesses in between your guesses. If 6 correct has been guessed (2 remaining) then you have to wait 2 guesses in between your guesses. (Remember at this point, no new players). Once 7 ore more have been found you must wait one guess between your guesses.
And now for the question and answer period.

I seem to have ordered to many of the Canadian Remembrance Day coloured quarters and have several left over still in the plastic from the mint. The first person to use each of the currencies within a valid guess will receive one of these coins if they want it. I will NOT reveal the winners of this prize until the end of the game.
Limit one quarter per player.

The Grand Prize for this game is a small item I acquired recently. It worth is questionable. I do not know for certain it's true value. I have done a bit of research on the coin and have found conflicting opinions. The only thing I can do is show the pictures and give the details that I know. Diameter: 10mm Weight: 0.3 gram Composition: Gold Country: Italy Denomination: None - Commemorative That is all that I can attest to. the person that I received this from had it marked as 22K but that can not be confirmed I have seen this same coin on ebay but he claims that his coin weighs 1 gram. Here is the translated link to the auction. (Translation by Google). The translation did not work but I am sure you can figure it out if you want to. http://cgi.ebay.com.my/MONETA-ORO-T...350271770274The winner will also receive a Remembrance Day quarter if they had not already.

Wow! Cool prize! I'll be using all my elbows to fight off all the competition! Though it is different from what you found on ebay. Those are Mussolini medals. Yours has the monarch, Vittorio Emanuele.

Quote: Can you explain this a little more Ok, let's see if I can do just that. First person - No one is in line before this player to use each of the currencies - make a guess containing a winning currency (probably where you got mislead) valid guess - a guess made in proper turn which contains any eight of the currencies in the list provided, real or not. will receive - to obtain one - more than none, less than two of these coins - the Canadian Remembrance dat quarters (2010 btw) if they want it - the player must show a desire to own this coin by sending me a message with their address. There, I hope that helps clear it up.

I found it - your prize - or rather its prototype in the Unusual Coins catalog. Same design, gold, only it's bigger there and weighs 30 g. Listed as fantasy 100 lire, no other denominations. Mussolini coins are also there, silver 20 lire and gold 100 lire, fantasy as well.

My scale might be off but not that much. It weighs in tenths of a gram and reads 0.3 with the coin on it.
I am not familiar with the term fantasy coin. Does this mean bubblegum machine? Cracker Jacks box? Would I find this in a box of Frosted Flakes?

Ok, I looked up fantasy coins. So my guess is that this is real gold. It is a coins that was never meant to be, or at least never really existed as legal currency. It must exist or I would not have been able to capture a picture of it. Historical value maybe, jury is still out.

Well, I, for sure, would love to earn it, gold or not. I still say it's a fantastic prize!

Are you kidding I'd kill for that 68. Busy as heck at work but I want that quarter. Course that Italian coin is pretty cool also. WOLF
