i am starting an e journal for numismatics, would you be interested to contribute any article towards this e journal. This is a free journal, I am not going to go in for printing hard copies. It will be a PDF file, e journal free for all, it could be downloaded from my website, free of cost. The first issue will be released on 1st of January 2011.

Different columns in my e journal would be as follows:

History coins: 1 A4 page write up on ancient coins with images.

Coin Pick: 1 A4 page write up on 5 Modern coins with images.

Exclusive Interview with a coin collector: Interview with a coin collector.

Coin Quiz: 5 questions would be asked, winner would be given a coin and a prize certificate.

Numismatic Resources: Different sources of Numismatics like website, books, blogs available.

Bonus: Contributors to the journal could place their ads for free.

Feel free to comment or give any suggestions, please inform by me if you are interested in becoming a freelance writer.

warm wishes.

Sounds like it could well be an interesting site, especially if there is input from folks here.....I will be looking for an eventual website link in your future posts.

127 posts already? Looks like you jumped right in to the forums without posting here first.....As I recall, that is what I did also, but I don't think that I ever did introduce myself here.....I guess it is a little to late to do that now...

Anyway,

there are many coin magazines which charge for their subscription, my e journal would be free of cost, as it will be only a pdf file which could be easily downloaded and shared with any other collectors. I would try to keep it free for as long as possible. I am not going in for printing hard copies too, which will keep me from spending. Anybody interested could send me a message to donate articles.

warm wishes.

I understand "free", "pay in copies", and other concepts that request a writer to subsidize a publication. I'm not an expert in anything dealing with coins (as you can tell from any of my posts here), so I'd not be writing any coin articles for anyone. I have a feeling that you'll be writing most of the content, but then you'll have complete control of the contents. Good luck.

yes I will be writing the editors note and focussing on the numismatics resources. Once the coin collectors read the first issue, they would be interested in writing an article. It is the coin collector's views which is being typed out. Only coin collectors know the in and out of numismatics.

warm wishes.
