How weak is the strike on that coin now that you have it in hand? ~christina Christina, The strike is fairly weak.If I tip the coin at just a certain angle on the reverse,you can make out very vague lines of the breast feathers.The outside area of the reverse and obverse looks like a strong MS,with a number of tiny bagmarks on the obverse. Thanks Deb, Coin in hand,I think the tiny bagmarks that are hard to see in the photo on the obverse are going to keep it out of +MS60 range. I'm thinking and hoping AU50-55 range,but ANACS might suprise me. I have this and another 1894-S going soon,so we will see I guess.I think the 94-S should grade MS thou. Report this Post to the Staff
Morgan Fred Rest in Peace United States 2684 Posts	Posted 09/12/2006 12:36 pm Terry, without looking at the remaining posts after you updated the pics, I'm gonna stick my neck out a little further and stick with the MS grade. But since it's in a PCGS slab and knowing that PCGS will go with the lowest possible grade, it's very likely to have come back AU even if it is, in fact uncirculated. Again, by the images, at first blush, I'd go with MS even with the bag marks. ANACS is gonna have a tough time with this one, but I'd be very surprised if it came back other than at least mid-to-upper AU. Report this Post to the Staff

Yep, when I receive a coin in cardboard,that lasts about 12.2 seconds before it hits a airtite. I hope your right on the grading,I would be very happy with that.
