What do you think? I think due to the spot on the reverse this shouldn't get 67.

Interesting I mangled a dip recently on one of my Morgan dollars and it has similar carbon marks on the Obverse.

I always figure a TPG would send it back bagged as altered surfaces since the dip is obvious but this MS-67 Nickel gives me some hope...

That is a really old NGC slab, it could have turned after the coin was slabbed.

Yep, definately turned after slabbing. Way to go NGC, another dipped coin passes certification only to be revealed later.

maybe its the silver starting to tone ?

even if the toning does not do it , look at the bottom few steps
they look worn or broken IMO

Yea I don't think the seller is mislabeling the coin, but it through me for a loop. I personally wouldn't buy this coin, but you all think it's from a dipping?
