Thank you all for warm welcome. I am really glad to get here. Well, I am not so experienced coin collector as many of you are. I collect all kind of coins, don't shrink from commems. I have some. But circulated are easier to get. Just trading with friends. I also have some old coins. But again they all came to me like presents, result of trading, etc. Unfortunately so far I can't afford paying hundreds of dollars on buying rarity. I really hope that here I will have chance to trade coins from all over the world. Especially I like coins from Africa, Asia, Latin America. The are exotic for Belarus, you know.

Thats kind of ironic as Belarus coins are kind of exotic for most of us! I absolutely treasure my "Swans of a Lake" silver commemorative from Belarus and really had a tough time getting that one, both in cupro-nickel and silver! Not sure of their date right now but do know they won one of the awards in the Coin of the Year Awards (COTY) for that particular year. The COTY Awards are given two years later than issue year so this years awards were for the 2004 coins of the world. Australia's huge silver Mob of Roos won an award this year and I am FORTUNATE to have that big chunk of silver as well. I try every year to pick up a couple of the coins of the year!

vbekarevich,

As has been mentioned already in this thread, you must have 50 posts to trade coins on this forum.

Since trading coins is still being discussed and encouraged openly, I am locking this thread (while resisting the urge to delete it).

Feel free to participate elsewhere on the forum regarding any other subject matter. When you have 50 quality posts, I will unlock this thread and move it to the proper forum or you may start a new one in the proper place.

Have fun and let our members get to know you first!
