Well, I think. I was looking through my dollars when I noticed what seemed to be an extra character near the mint mark. It is far east and just a tad south.
The letter appears to be an "O", but is faint. The orientation suggests the character was applied as the coin was run through the rim machine while facing the other direction. Unfortunately, the left side of the "O" is obscured by two circulation scratches... but you can see the "O" between them.
Also, not pictured is what appears to be a "ghost dot" between the zeros in 2007. This dot seems to vertically align with our mystery "O" and appears to match the dot used in rim punching.
I dont know, could this just be bag clash or something?
