I have two 1930 Graf Zeppelin coins... please comment about mintage, silver content and history as I am trying to learn more about these coins I have recently acquired.

Thanks.

50% silver, .4019 oz. ASW. Mintage and value depends on the mint.
I believe I see "D" on the right one (under the zeppelin) 56,000 were minted,
F $70, VF $110, XF $170, UNC $250 (6 years ago, now probably higher)

A popular coin, because they were the only coins made depicting airships which actually date from the time airships were flying. I paid $120 for an A-mintmarked one off of ebay in 2006.

Are A's more or less scarce than E's?

Thanks.

"A", for Berlin, is the most common one, 217,000 coins minted.

I believe you listed the details on a 5 reichsmark coin... can you provide for a 3 reichsmark? I read somewhere that the 3 may be more scarce than the 5.

Thanks.

I'm the first to respond again because I happen to be online, but I'm away from my books till tomorrow night. So, either someone else will give you the numbers or you'll have to wait a day.
Sorry about misreading the denomination!

Just came home, and here it is,

3 reichsmark 1930E, 50% silver, .2411 oz. ASW: F $35, VF $60, XF $90, UNC $140
Mintage: 75,000 (as you can see it's more common than 5M)
