Before christmass I got a Hundred dollar lot of 1 dollar bills and a 50 dollar lot of 2 dollar bills to give out in christmass cards. I went through them and kept a few notes these are the serial numbers that I kept. The dollar bills are from the Clevleand district and are dated 2006, the 2 dollar note is from the Chicago district and is a 2003 A. Also got a 1988 A that a friend sent me, its in fine to vf condition I think, but new to grading paper money.

the next 2 notes the first one I kept because of the triple 62 and the second one because I started collecting notes that ended in 86.

Neat numbers, especially if you are into even numbers.... I don't know anything about this sort of thing, but although I think they are neat, I rather doubt that there is any added value there. Some of the folks here might see stuff that I don't (like repeaters, ladders etc)?

I too like 1988A notes for no good Earthly reason. I know they aren't valuable, but I still love to find them. This one I got a couple of weeks ago and saved it because of the condition. It is not perfect, but very close to it.

I think a few of the reasons I like this note is because:
1) This year is the first year and key series of the web note.
2) The signatures are so flowing.
3) Catalina Vasquez Villalpando is the only treasurer to be convicted and sent to prison.

*EDIT*
Oh, and forgot to say... nice numbers, only I don't see a $2 anywhere.

I also belive that the 1988 A was the first 1 dollar notes to be printed at the FT. Worth facility, at least thats what I got from "Paper Money of the United States" by Arthur L. and Ira S. Friedberg. there was 1988 A DC notes Page fed, 1988 A Ft worth notes page fed, and 1988 A DC web fed notes.

Here is the picture of the 2003A 2 dollar note I forgot to post it with the other notes. I kept it becuase it had 7 different numbers in the serial number.
