When would it be considered too long after or annoying to
others to reply to a posted topic, after it was made?

I think its like chewing gum it gets old and looses its flavor
after awhile but like to bring the question to light for clarity.

Your thoughts?

I don't believe there's a particular time limit. But if you revive a topic that was not discussed for a few months you probably should have a new insight, not just "I agree".

If bumping an old topic, it's generally considered to be good form to preface your comment with something like, "Sorry to bring up a topic that's X months old, but...". Make it as obvious as possible to everyone else that reads that thread that it is an old bumped thread and not a new one.

I agree with both above comments, there is no time limit as long as the person is actually adding something valuable or bringing up another question that wasn't asked before that the person would like the answer to.

I never look to see how old a post really is. I always suppose that if it's right there in front of me, it's recent. If I have to go to another page, I guess it's to old to try to bring back to life.
Sort of the same thing with long, dragged out stories or those that repost something from somewhere else that is to long. I just pass on those. Life is to short to usually read long dragged out stuff.
Maybe I'll miss something important, but if I don't see it, don't read it, I won't miss it either.
