i have a question about a 1950 ten dollar bill, it is in decent shape but my question is, under were the series number is, all it says is 1950, thats it no letter. is that rare or not

That just means that it is the first of the 1950 series. The letters just represent series that followed it. As far as rare or worth a premium, no there are still quite a lot of these around so a nice example may be worth $15 or $20. Most of the various series are worth close to the same amount, with the E series worth a slightly higher amount.
