I posted these on the other forum, but I figure this is a better place for grading questions. I new to this, so I appreciate all opinions. These pics are pretty true as to the color of the coins, but on the brightest 68 there are some darkish smudges that the camera disn't really capture. Let me know you you all think. Thanks!

OK...so what did I do wrong to cause zero replies in 4 days? Lol...

was it: 1) pictures not good enough, 2) no interst in coins from those dates, 3) getting the cold shoulder since I'm a new guy, or 4) something else?

Pics are a bit smallish for accurate grading but the bottom two are probably mid-high AU while the top two are more than likely Unc based on the amount of Red color left.

I was just giving the new guy the cold shoulder.....Just kidding!

This is the first time I saw this thread, sometimes when the forum is busy a post can get buried pretty quickly..

I agree with Biokemist, if you paln on keeping them check to see if there are any fingerprints on those 1968s and try to remove them if there are any. Over long term storage fingerprints will etch themselves into the coin and can not be removed later.

Thanks all. I think the darkish smudges are probably from fingerprints. How can I remove them?

Agreed with that statement .... pleased to have you here JoesterVT and I offer a family apology for the delay in replies.

First of all ..... unless that is your personal fingerprint recently implanted then there is no way alas to permanently remove it. The damage has been done and will be there forever.

If the fingerprints are very recent .... then I have heard a wash in acetone followed by a rinse in distilled water can work. The experts can weigh in on that!

they are probably there forever. like David said they are most likely there for years and are a permanent fixture to your coin.
BUT
these coins are so cheap in MS that I wouldn't waist my time cleaning them. you can pick them up for a few cents each if not for face.
I will check my box's and see if I have them but don't time me cause I have been very slow the past few months
