Hi,
I got some old coins years ago from my grandfather. I know nothing about old coins and would like to know more about this one:
Coin-Identification
Coin-Identification

I belive it is from Austrian empire but dont know the currency, value, who is in the picture...Would be really nice if somebody can write something about this coin or paste a link...
I read somewhere that value of the coin is determined by rarity and grade. So please grade this coin.

Thank you very much

gwangi - Hello and welcome

Regarding the coin - what does the edge look like?

I am very suspicious about the general appearance of the coin. The color and surface texture look incorrect.

I took the picture under artifical light and there are some shadows and some shiny parts. And I think my camera ads a little contrast... You are right about the colors(the background should be white) in reality it looks a little darker. I will take some more pictures (in daylight) and pictures of the edges....

Thank you for you answers
