Hello,

How much does it cost to get one coin graded by NGC? I checked their website and it has a lot of information, but doesn't seem to help.

Do I have to send a minimum of five coins?

Prices are based on a few factors, such as value of the coin, how quickly you want it graded etc. Your best bet would be to print out a submission form and have a look at that, or take it to a dealer who submits to NGC and ask them to do it.

CanadianBankNotes, I know what you are saying and it's the reason I ended up with ANACS. They just seemed to be more user-friendly.

You'll have to use the Early bird grading tier, so $30, plus shipping.

Seems rather expensive. I guess that doesn't include shipping or insurance either.

It's more economical if you have at lest 5 coins, then it would be $12.50 plus shipping and insurance. This is one reason why slabbing is right for every coin. I usually will only slab a coin that is at least wroth $100 or is a variety as it is so much easier to sell a variety coin or most any coin for that matter that is slabbed.

I find this whole slabbing idea very intimidating and confusing.
I have looed at all three TPG and it seems if you dont fill out the form correctl they will just send it back.

If this is true, then you would never sell a coin to me. I buy the coin, not the slab. The only way I will buy a slabbed coin is if I find it at or very near the price of the unslabbed coin. Needless to say, I own no slabbed coins. Grading is a matter of opinion.

I think he left out a word. I think he meant to say "This is why slabbing is not right for every coin."
