Just curious to what a 1999 State Quarters silver proof set would normally run? |

I've seen them between $180 - $190 on ebay. Just make sure to question if they are toned or tarnished if you are looking for the perfect set. |

Of the last ten years or so, the 1999, 2001, and 2010 silver proof sets are the only silver sets I don't have due to their high price. I do have my limits.

$150 buy it now on ebay right now. lincoln collector: what is roughly an average price for quarter silver sets? the 2001 and 2010 don't look too expensive. |

$50-$65 for just the silver quarter set, but I want the full silver set that is roughly $70-$90 for 2001.
I'm debating whether it is worth it in the long run to spend that kind of money. I do love the silver proof sets though.

oh I see, I thought you just meant the quarters. didn't know you meant all the coins. i collected all the State Quarters, then I got both mints... now I am thinking of getting the s and silver mints so i'll have all 4 for each state. I think it will cost me a lot though :/ not so much of an investment for me, I just really like the new quarters and as a collector I want them all. :) |

The thing about proof sets is that you can buy partial sets (quarters only or the whole set). Sometimes I see a price of $20 or $30 on ebay and I'm thinking it's for the whole set, but it's really only for a partial set. I could just get the quarters, I guess. That is affordable. |

I just bought a 1999 silver proof set from a local coin dealer for $160.00. As I have learned from posts on this web site, the mint did not produce a quarters only silver set in 1999. To find just the quarters for that year may be difficult.
