Just curious to what a 1999 State Quarters silver proof set would normally run?

I've seen them between $180 - $190 on ebay. Just make sure to question if they are toned or tarnished if you are looking for the perfect set.

Of the last ten years or so, the 1999, 2001, and 2010 silver proof sets are the only silver sets I don't have due to their high price. I do have my limits.

lincoln collector: what is roughly an average price for quarter silver sets? the 2001 and 2010 don't look too expensive.

$50-$65 for just the silver quarter set, but I want the full silver set that is roughly $70-$90 for 2001.
I'm debating whether it is worth it in the long run to spend that kind of money. I do love the silver proof sets though.

oh I see, I thought you just meant the quarters. didn't know you meant all the coins.
i collected all the State Quarters, then I got both mints... now I am thinking of getting the s and silver mints so i'll have all 4 for each state. I think it will cost me a lot though :/ not so much of an investment for me, I just really like the new quarters and as a collector I want them all. :)

The thing about proof sets is that you can buy partial sets (quarters only or the whole set). Sometimes I see a price of $20 or $30 on ebay and I'm thinking it's for the whole set, but it's really only for a partial set. I could just get the quarters, I guess. That is affordable.

I just bought a 1999 silver proof set from a local coin dealer for $160.00. As I have learned from posts on this web site, the mint did not produce a quarters only silver set in 1999. To find just the quarters for that year may be difficult.
