1952 Dollar Variety? - Coin Community Forum

Excuse me if I am in error. 1-SWL(small water lines)No lines touch the canoe,but 3 lines are present.This looks like your variety. 2-With the Arnprior variety.No lines touch the canoe-BUT-there is only 1 1/2 water lines. + there is a couple other varieties for this year. EastVanRob Pillar of the Community Canada 617 Posts	Posted 01/18/2011 01:01 am Per Charlton 65th edition, p. 195, for 1950-52: "The so-called Arnprior configuration consists of 1 and a half water lines at the right. Any trace of the bottom water line disqualifies a coin from being Arnprior." For 1955, the Arnprior configuration is two and a half lines to the right (Charlton, p. 198). Your dollar looks like a short water line variety (1952 SWL) to me. Report this Post to the Staff
