AND that is the fun of a hobby. You can collect or do whatever you want with whatever you find, collect, buy, trade, etc. Many coin collectors just can not stand to see empty spaces in an Album. Others just don't care if a slot of many of them are empty. And too if a person is likely to show off an Album to friend, in most instances those friends would not know the difference in dates, mintages or grades. But if all the slots are full, to many it's impressive.
And note your statement of a return. There are really a lot of us that collect coins for FUN. No thoughts of ever selling them anyway.
