I found these two last year while dirtfishing. The 1758 spanish I dug in a Michigan farmyard, and the Morgan I dug in the picnic area of a church that burned around 1900. Funny thing, it was only 3" deep and this place was swarming with detectorists back in the 1970

89 doesn't look right. buried silver usually comes up nice, like the top piece, not all eaten away.

How faraway was the picnic area from the burned church,It looks like it may have gone through the fire.

The Morgan took a lot of cleaning. I suspect it was scorched in the fire.

That spanish coin is really cool! In what area of Michigan did you find it? How deep was it?

Thanks Crow, I found the spanish in southern Mich, about 6" deep, in the yard of an 1860's farm home.
