I started trying to assemble a Victorian Type Set (based on the old Whitman Classic Album) about a year ago and just wondered if anyone else is collecting these coins. Here's a few of them so far ... first the 1852 Gothic Florin  1853 Halfpenny  1887 Double Florin  |

Very nice! I'm not working on a set, per se, but, I have collected several Sovereign coins (Jubilee). I so enjoy Queen Victorias images! Thank you for sharing!

The Gothic Florin has to be one of the coolest coins ever.

This isn't a Victorian one but I am hoping to get it just the same. I would really love to get a Gothic in the future though. However, I am a perfectionist, which is my downfall when it comes to coins and won't want one in less than almost uncirculated or uncirculated condition and I know this could be pricey. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...MEBI:IT&rd=1Edited by Irishraider

I am working on a British empire set for lack of the correct term trying to collect from each perspective territory, country etc. I would love to put a Victorian set together . Yours are very nice . And to mimic dsking. I agree I like Victoria's images on the coins. " So Regal". No Pun intended.

Auldfartte those are some seriously cool coins!!!!  I have a few coins with victoria on the obverse but none of mine are as nice as yours!!  |

Here's a few more just for fun ... Click on these to enlarge 'em. The smaller pics make the coins look a bit fuzzy. Large is sharp and clear. 1891 Sovereign, Jubilee Head  1887 Crown, Jubilee Head  1900 Sixpence, Old Head  The indentation on the cheek of the sixpence is not a "hit". It's either a planchet flaw or a strike through error. Edited by AuldFartte
