I don't have a Sears catalog, and the wildwinds site is awesome, if you have an idea of what you have.

I am hoping you guys will be able to give me a little more direction to help me attribute these. I'll be posting about 10 of them, separately, of course.

This one is about 25mm.

Julian?

Julia Mamaea it is indeed, but it's bronze, and a Provincial not Imperial type, even though the language is Latin. From the colony of Deultum, now known as the village of Debelt, Bulgaria. The reverse type is Nemesis, the Greek goddess of retribution and vengeance - a rather rare deity for coinage. Wildwinds example.

You've probably noticed on Wildwinds the partial inscription search feature. This is by far the most useful part of the Wildwinds site for me, since it helps greatly in identifying coins for which only a part of the legend is readable. I found your coin by typing "IVLIAMA COLFL" into the search there.

Again, thanks for the help everyone. And, Sap, you are right, the partial text search engine is great. I thought this one said IVLIAN, and could decipher no more. Now that you write what it does say, I can see it. With more experience, and help from the forum, I hope to get better at this.
