Haven't collected coins very long but I'm willing to bet this guy is full of it.

http://cgi.ebay.com/CANADA-ONE-CENT...em20b685f787

Says the coin..."it has been punched with a "G" stamped on the rear of the coin by the Royal Canadian Mint"

Maybe I'm wrong but is there any reason the mint would do this?

Cheers!

Not done by the mint.
Seller is trying to offload a damaged coin
Royal Canadian Mint did not exist in 1881

Ack, forgot about that. Obviously done in someones house, just wondered if they could possibly be any reason the mint today would damage a coin that way

That counterstrike is not half as interesting (or funny) as the seller's "me" page...

Very funny stuff!
Interesting that he demands that sellers ship within 48 hours
Yet his damaged coin listing says he usually ships within 3 business days.

Almost a no-brainer to avoid any contact with him.

And, for the record...

The only place his contract would hold any weight is in that large void between his ears. A seller failing to read his 'me' page does not constitute "implied consent" on the part of the seller.

And, that whole part about "If I don't like what you send me, I'm going to keep it and say I didn't get it..." Well. I don't know where he lives, but where I live, that's 'theft', probably 'theft by deception', and if he uses the mail service, possibly 'postal fraud'.

This guy made me so made with his one-sided buyers rights crap that I sent him a 'terse' note, and put him on my blocked bidders list!
