Hey guys, I have a 1944 wheat that looks like it has a "S" mm on it. However, I looks like it is not really struck. very weak. like barely viasable. Ever seen this before? I will try to take a picture of it, but I cant seem to get my camera to co-operate. thanks.

nah, no biggie.

Looks normal.

The S is slightly weak, but not a big deal.

ok, thats what I figured, but I was hopeing that someone was going to say that is was a D over the S, but the D dye broke so only the trace of an s was left on the coin....That would turn this penny from being worth a cent, to paying for my kids college...anyway, thanks, back in the jar she goes....mike.

A 44 D over S in that shape might be worth 50$ of that

It would have to have been a bright red ms-64 to be worth alteast $1000
