For your specific example .... using my 2010 RedBook ... take a look at the prices ... you should see all the way at the end of the a listing for 'PF-65" ... this is the value for a proof coin graded PF-65.
My 2010 RedBook has your 1950 Lincoln with a circulation strike mintage of 272,635,00 ... a proof mintage of 51,386 and a value in PF-65 of $75.
These mintage figures should track exactly with what you are seeing and the value of PF-65 might be a few dollars off either way.
