I have seen these commercials and was very optimistic about this coin.

The National Collector's mint coin may be crap, but I don't see how they are anymore deceptive than most advertising. Read their add, they tell you exactly what's there. The ground zero silver may be hard to back up, but who's to say they didn't by some authenticated ground zero slabbed coins and have them melted for their coin?

NCM is shady, no doubt, but I think the senator's are more concerned about this coin competing with "their" medal than the NCM as a buisness. Heck, NCM has been doing this for years, I think they even did a 9/11 coin before.

AS A Veteran of the U.S. Navy, If It's Not From The U.S. Mint.com or 1-800-872-6468, Don't Buy It!

If it is not ground zero silver, this is a very shameful practice by National Collector's Mint. It is OK to charge an outrageous premium for a privately minted coin. It is not OK to misrepresent the material that coin is minted from I suspect they are risking a federal indictment for fraud.
