Total Newb Asking For Help, 1934 Star Note

enkay New Member United States 3 Posts	Posted 01/26/2011 5:18 pm So I had some guy come into my store and ask for change, he handed me a 50$ bill and after looking at it I noticed it was from 1934. Gave him 2x 20's and a 10 and held on to it. Anyways, I have done some research and am having trouble finding a value. Here are the specifics. 1934 D Star Note. S/N: D00009787 Condition, circulated, but no large folds, and no tears on the edges. Don't have a photo as I am not with the bill right now. Thank you for your help! I'm guessing 1934, because according to my book, cleveland notes in the 1934d series don't exist.. I think you should hold on to it (if ya can afford it).. Nice find! Report this Post to the Staff

coinsearcher83 Pillar of the Community United States 1358 Posts	Posted 01/26/2011 7:31 pm Okay, got it now! :D The 'd' in the circle means the bill was made for the cleveland district federal reserve bank. My book says a regular note, in a little worse condition than what you described, can sell for $100. Yours, being a low-numbered star, should go for even more.. (maybe..lol..
