I'm trying to find what's the right expression to describe a round dotted fringe in a coin or token. "Round dotted fringe"? "Round dot fringe"? "Round dotted frame"? Please, see the imatge so that you know what I'm talking about. Is that "a wing within a round dotted fringe"? Advanced thanks. Edited by Mallorca 01/30/2011 12:59 pm

That part of a coin I have seen referred to is 'beading'.
Beads when not on a coin, can come in a string, such as in a rosary.
Sometimes the beading on a coin can be presented in the form of round dots or in a wide range of other types of decoration inside the rim.

I can download the image, but it isn't showing up in your post. Please consult "tutorials" and "uploading photos", to the left, for info on uploading photos to this forum. Your image doesn't appear to be too large, so your IMG code must not be correct.

Same here; I see a generic icon with a question mark. If I click on that so that a context menu pops up, I get a choice of opening the image in a new window or tab. Both options work; embedding the image here does not seem to work though.

Image directly visible now. :) And yes, I agree, beaded edge or border sounds good to me too. Raised beads are much more common though (as far as I know), so it may make sense to refer to incuse beads in the case of your piece ...
