The $1000 Issue 1954 ... probably because it was the only $1000 note that I ever owned. I gave it to my wife a couple of years ago to buy a sewing machine. I was in fair condition, but she gets more joy from sewing than I ever did fom that $1000 note. I am mainly into coins (in a big way)

It's actually a Union Bank of Newfoundland issue, but this note *REALLY* caught my eye earlier today:

I have a 1900 $4 note that is graded VG10PPQ. For one, the odd demonation gets people interested right away. In addition, I like the large size notes.

I also like the 1935 series. I'm saving up for a "Shirley Temple".

I love the vibrant colors of the 1935 and 1937 series but as funny as it may seem, I think my favorite notes are the 25 cent notes (the shinplasters). They are not colourful or big but they are unusual.

I don't have one favorite, but I like the 1954 series, when our bills started depicting Canadian landscapes. Its just my opinion but I feel that is when our notes began giving a true impression of Canada.

Canadian paper is far more attractive than U.S. notes. I like the early stuff for sure, but it's beyond my means. A number of Series 1937 notes are in my collection, and they are very attractive. For sheer eye appeal, it's hard to beat the Mountie $50, and I have one. The $2 and $5 of that era are also very nice.
