Starting late. Bear with me- these questions are coin related. They relate to a "classic commemorative" that like last week's contest, has "real" historic relevance to all in the US (as opposed to say the Bridgeport, CT centennial)
Last week my questions were NC centered. This week- New England...
Monday, 4/19 is a Massachusetts state holiday (ME also). Somewhat oddly, WI added this as a state holiday in 2001(I can't resist a personal note-for the last 8 years, more often than not, I have been in Boston for an event which takes place annually at noon on that holiday)
What is the holiday, and what does it commemorate (looking for a specific event or events, close is fine)?
What is the classic commemorative coin which also commemorates these events?
XXXX Day and the Red Sox
Every year, on the third Monday in April, the Red Sox play host to the only morning game on the entire Major League Baseball schedule. The annual 11:05 a.m. game at Fenway Park is part of the festivities of XXXXxx Day, a federally recognized holiday in Massachusetts.
The other big event draws 1 Million spectators annually, as well as world class athletes. What is the other big event (also a sporting event)?
I'll put a hint which will enable anyone who has found the other answers to get this one, if folks are having trouble, on Sun, the eve of the holiday- one that should enable our non US members to get answers as well.

1) Holiday is PATRIOTS DAY , and it commemorates the rides of Paul Revere and William Dawes, (warning of the arrival of British troops) and the BATTLES of LEXINGTON and CONCORD ( which are considered by most historians to be the start of the American revolutionary war) http://world.std.com/~adamg/patriotsday.htmlhttp://www.pbs.org/wgbh/amex/patrio...s/index.htmlMany Americans are familiar with the poem, the Midnight Ride of Paul Revere, by Longfellow, a 19th century Bostonian who was one of the first acclaimed american poets. Which is the oldest annual Marathon in the world, first run in 1896, and it begins at noon on Ptriots Day at the Minuteman statue in Hopkinton , MA, a stereotypic New England village. Finish is at Copley Square in downtown Boston, and in between is the series of hills in Newton known collectively as "heartbreak".
