anyone got any suggestions for where I can find the large bulk coin bags that the banks around me seem to have? they are thick plastic and have a list on the plastic of how much of each denomination the bag will hold.

I've been saving them and although the tops are cut off, they still have enough room to put 5000 cents back in and seal or tape shut. How many you need ?

hmm. do you think that you can fit more than 5000 in them without them breaking? I know I've overfilled them with quarters before.

You might also want to try CollecTons.com They seem to have pretty good prices on things like that.

I deposit a lot of bulk coin and my bank gives them to me when I ask for them. I used to use the cloth bags (which they also give to me) but the plastic ones are so much better... don't need the crimping tool to seal them.

oblaka, just get a bag and test her out. I fill mine pretty good when I use them for returns but I never paid attention as to exactly how much because I carry two at a time and don't want too much....I'm thinking around $60 in each still works without problems.

I got some coins in a canvas bag from my bank last week.
They said they were glad to get rid of it. They don't use them any more.
Maybe just ask.

Establish a good relationship with your bank and they will give you bags free.
