There are a few marks and scratches that I don't like, and they show up especially well in the photo. But the wear is really minimal. I studied the photograde PCGS photos, and AU53 showed considerably more wear around the ear. Report this Post to the Staff

ACE Mike Valued Member United States 438 Posts	Posted 02/08/2011 4:05 pm Hi Jon, I only thought there was a chance it was dipped in the past, since in the photo it looks very bright white, particularly the reverse. It could very well be just the lighting - one of the hazards of grading coins from pictures. It would still be slabable (is that a word?) even with a light, long ago dipping.
