Greek, from the city of Kallatis, now known as Mangalia on the Romanian coast. Reverse shows a standing figure (perhaps Tyche), with KALLA to right and TIANWN to left, in Greek lettering. Unfortunately, the pic of a type which I think is similar to this has gone missing from Wildwinds.
