I am another newbie whom has been a long time collector but very raw in coin photography. I read through a number of posts but I did not see any thing regarding using an I-Flip camera. Has anyone tried it successfully?

What exactly is an I-Flip? I know of a portable video player by that name, and the Flip series of video cameras (which can take a pic good enough to identify what type of coin it is, but that's it), but that's all I have.

Super Dave, that is what I am asking about I have UltraHD I-Flip Camcorder that has a snapshot mode. But I think I need a small tripod to set up filming studio. I have read your wonderful post on taking pictures of coins although it is somewhat over my head. I have read it twice and each time I go back to it I learn a little more. Did not know that it was that difficult to take photos of coins. Thank you for all your assistence.
