Hello everyone, this is my first post so I hope I do it right. I have been metal detecting for several years and find coins that I cannot identify. this is one of them, this looks to be a chinese coin that I found some years ago at a playground. It is a little larger than half dollar and is made of copper. I would like to know

1. What kind of coin it is?
2. How old it is?

there are far better folks on here than me but my guess this is a 10 Cash coin, looks to be a Chinese Empire Y20 or one of its varieties. I cannot see the details on the reverse well enough to tell which one. Others maybe able to. I would guess 1909 for the year

That's too big to be a 10 cash; it must be a 20 cash; it is indeed dated (using the Chinese Cyclical Date calendar) to 1909. There's no province mark, so it's a "General Empire" issue, a variety of KM/Y 21. It's either 21.1 or 21.2; either way, it's not a particularly scarce variety.
